Gates withdraws his name as AG nominee.

On the surface, this appears to be a wise move because he understands the need to quit with the stupid political games and get on with running this nation.

It's amazing how a nomination such as his brings up a fresh crop of allegations.
 
Speaking as a Floridian…Pam Bondi is a MUCH BETTER pick. She’s solid and doesn’t screw around. I also recall her as a guest speaker in law school, very inspiring. Very happy!

i like pam bondi... ... with her experience as attorney general of florida on her resume' - it will be a lot harder for dems to fight against her nomination....... but of course they will try to anyway.... ....

My experience with her was prior to Florida AG. She was a state prosecutor beforehand, but anyway she’s not a woman to be trifled with. The Dems would be wise to not underestimate her because she will eat them for breakfast. (BTW, I could be wrong, but I don’t anticipate the senate confirmation process to be an issue with her, but I’m sure there will be drama regardless.)
